Piano
Ages: 4+
Instructors: David, Chelsey
Learn to play the piano. Enjoy learning to read music, play scales, and piano technique. We emphasize the classics as well as jazz and pop standards, personalizing repertoire choices for each student. Most importantly, students learn practice skills and habits to help make practicing productive and fun, gaining discipline that will serve for all of life. Two to three recitals a year will be offered; students are encouraged to perform on at least one.

Adult Piano or Voice

Lessons are customized to your needs and goals in a low-pressure environment. Recital performances are optional.

Theory
Ages 12 and up
Instructors: David, Chelsey
Understand the building blocks of music—scales, intervals, and chords, and form analysis—as well as the aural side of music—sight-reading, dictation, and hearing chord progressions. This course of study is perfect for creative musicians who want to master the building blocks of music for composition, transposing or transcribing heard music. Can be taken alongside piano and/or voice lessons; receive a tuition discount of 10%.

Beginning Voice
Instructor: Chelsey
Ages 8-13
Beginning voice lessons are for the young student who would like to gain confidence singing and learn to read music. Focus will be on performing with poise and style. Other important skills such as ear training and sight reading, learning music from a wide range of styles suited to young singers will also be emphasized. More technical work comes in high school when most students are ready for rigorous study. Two or three recitals will be offered each year; students are encouraged to perform on at least one.

High school/College Voice
Age 14-20
Instructors: David, Chelsey
Learn how your voice actually works and begin to put that knowledge into practice. Utilize understanding of the vocal mechanism, warm-up and practice techniques, performance strategies and of course, enjoy singing beautiful music from Baroque to Contemporary. Sight-singing, foreign language diction, and audition prep included.
